Hello December! What an awesome time of year!! I have to say, I just love the seasons from September 1st until December 31st! Excellent time of year!! So many things to enjoy! I am going to try to record daily, what is happing the next 25 days of this season by using the Hello December 2015 and the Project Life supplies by Stampin Up!
I have been researching this and preparing for this scrapbooking event and am really excited to see how this turns out. Last year, I participated by pictures only. This year I hope to add more of the stories that go with the pictures. I am not sure how this will all work, but one thing I can say, I have enjoyed re-visiting the scrapbook pages from last year and remembering the stories, facts, and emotions that go along with the pictures. So here we go…going to try this and see how it goes for the next 25 days.
I will not be posting daily, my goal is to post every 5 days or when a page is finished, to show the progress and the pictures that accommodate this truly magnificent season. Advent is a time for waiting….this is also the time for preparing. I am going to record my season by preparing it with my daily stories.
So first is preparing. I have gathered all my supplies I will need the next few days and created a work space just for this project. I have added a table to my office area and plan to have everything set up in there. That way, it is in plain sight and I can remember easily to do this project. Also, it is easily accessible, which means I have to do it!
I gathered all the Project Life Cards and sorted through what I will need right away or by what I know I will be using the next 25 days. This may change, but I have a starting point. I also prepared by making sure I had the supplies, or access to, printing my pictures, ink for everything and photo paper, whatever I could think of to make sure there was nothing that was physically stopping me from doing this project.
Lastly, I wrote my intention for the season….when I look back on this, will I have been successful? Only time will tell. Writing the intention for the season is to help keep me focused on what is important to me and what I hope to accomplish. Writing intentions are not necessarily exciting or fun to do, but beneficial in so many ways. My 2015 intention was to find “contentment” in my life, there have been several times I have reviewed my scrapbook or my thought process to refocus on “contentment” in my life. If you are a yogi….intentions are important!
So let’s let this season begin and spend time daily recording our life’s events. All of us have a story to tell…this is what makes life so interesting….it’s just time to record and share the stories.
